6.4L HEMI® V8 ENGINE

The 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine is the standard engine for the new 2019 Ram Chassis Cab. Using variable-cam timing and Fuel Saver Technology, it provides full-rated V8 power when needed and improved efficiency when operating in four-cylinder mode.

The standard 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission offers a level of reliability and efficiency that Ram Truck customers have come to expect. It features eight speeds and on-the-fly shift mapping to accommodate changing loads and road conditions.

The AISIN six-speed automatic transmission is also available and has been optimized for Best-in-Class towing capability as well as outstanding PTO capability, impressive efficiency and reduced noise, vibration and harshness.

6.7L CUMMINS® TURBO DIESEL I6 ENGINE

The Class-Exclusive available 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 engine has been updated to be nearly 60 pounds lighter than the previous generation, improving responsiveness and efficiency while providing Best-in-Class torque ratings (on Ram 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab models) for outstanding towing and hauling capability.

A fully electronically controlled transmission, the AISIN six-speed automatic transmission has been optimized for Best-in-Class towing capability and new software control for more seamless shifting. It is available across the new 2019 Ram Chassis Cab lineup and provides Power Take Off capability.

AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

The new 2019 Ram Chassis Cab is the only truck in its segment that can help warn the driver when an accident is imminent. Available Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking( Disclosure8) readies the brakes and displays a warning and audible alert when it senses a potential frontal impact. If the driver takes no action it will automatically apply the brakes—on the truck and trailer—to bring both to a complete stop.
